Michelin-starred French chef Daniel Boulud is looking to open his first restaurant in the UK, R&I sister publication Caterersearch can reveal.
Chef Daniel Boulud
Lyon, France-born Boulud is understood to be looking at several opportunities in London for his next venture.
One of these is believed to be the former Grill in Hyde Park’s luxury hotel the Mandarin Oriental, although a spokeswoman for the hotel declined to comment.
Despite this, Daniel Boulud’s spokeswoman confirmed to Caterersearch that the Michelin-starred chef, who runs several restaurants under management company The Dinex Group, was looking at a number of sites in London to launch his first UK restaurant.
In April, Caterersearch broke the news that Heston Blumenthal, chef patron of the three-Michelin-starred Fat Duck in Bray, Berkshire, was in discussions to launch a restaurant in the former Foliage restaurant site at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.
