Association for Healthcare Foodservice Announces Vision and Mission Statements and Core Values

The organization supports self-operated foodservice providers in the healthcare industry.

[PRESS RELEASE] Louisville, KY (Jan. 29, 2010) – The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF), the newly formed professional society for healthcare food and nutrition professionals in self-operated facilities, has announced their Vision and Mission Statements and Core Values. Kris Schroeder, the administrative director of support services at Swedish Medical Center and first AHF president, commented, “We are proud to present these critical cornerstones of the Association for Healthcare Foodservice. We are a member-focused organization committed to assessing our members’ needs and supporting them with programs and resources to assist them in their careers.”
The AHF Vision and Mission Statements and Core Values are as follows:
Vision: AHF advances self-operated healthcare foodservice as the industry best practice.
Mission: AHF promotes, supports and connects self-operated foodservice. AHF develops healthcare foodservice professionals assuring food and nutrition services are valued as an essential contributor to the healthcare organization’s mission.
Core Values: (Guiding Principles) AHF values every member and every voice is heard.
    •    We believe in building collaborative relationships, networking and sharing information.
    •    We believe in conducting ourselves with integrity and respect to create an open, trusting and safe environment.
    •    We believe in achieving success through personal and professional development for all.
