Having already brought aboard several well-known chefs to develop restaurants, cruise ships are hiring restaurant designers.
Miami-based Celebrity Cruises' latest vessel, the Celebrity Solstice, boasts 10 restaurants, three of which feature the first seaworthy-restaurant designs by Adam Tihany. The Grand Épernay dining room (below) is highlighted by a two-story glass wine tower. Tuscan Grille is an Italian steakhouse. The Oceanview Café and Grill was designed to evoke a European marketplace.
