-- Restaurants and Institutions, 4/1/2008
In partnership with Tyson Food Service, a division of Tyson Foods Inc., The National Society for Healthcare Foodservice Management (HFM) is calling for entries for its Culinary Competition.
Open to full-time culinary professionals employed at an HFM operator-member facility, the competition involves the creation of an original entrée recipe with side dishes and sauces to balance the plate, using Tyson® Boneless Pork Chops. Five teams of finalists compete live at the 2008 HFM Annual Leadership Conference, Sept. 16, at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va. HFM will provide finalists free conference registration, three nights hotel, and a $500 scholarship. Tyson Food Service offers each entrant 250 Tyson Rewards points.
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded; those medalists will receive Tyson Rewards points in increments of $500, $300 and $200, respectively. Gold medalists will have the opportunity to present their recipe live at the 2008 American Dietetic Association Food & Nutrition Conference and Expo, held in Chicago in October.
Entries must be received by April 30, 2008. Visit www.hfm.org for more information.
