- Chef Jim Murray (below), CEC, CBJ, senior innovation chef for Unilever Foodsolutions, was awarded the American Culinary Federation President’s Medallion at the 2008 ACF Central Regional Conference in February.
- New Port Richey, Fla.-based Enodis appointed Kevin Fink president of Ice Group Americas. Frymaster, LLC, an Enodis company, was among 21 Louisiana employers nominated by state Guard and Reserve personnel for the 2008 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award.
- Creative Energy has brought on board Mark Wildenhaus as executive creative director. He comes to the Johnson City, Tenn.-based advertising firm from Adamson Advertising.

- Melrose Park, Ill.-based American Metalcraft appointed Eric Hagge western regional sales manager.
- Glendale, Calif.-based Nestlé Foodservices North America now is Nestlé Professional. The foodservice-dedicated organization has been restructured to allow for a closer partnership with its customers.
- California School of Culinary Arts student Kristianne Pak was announced the winner of the 2008 S.Pellegrino™ Almost Famous ChefSM Competition at the finals held at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in Napa Valley, Calif. The event was hosted by winner of Bravo® Top Chef, Harold Dieterle, chef and owner of Perilla, New York, and actress Lorraine Bracco, famous for her role on The Sopranos on HBO® and president of Bracco Wines.
