Jalapeños aren’t the only ingredients that can be filled and fried for pleasing bar snacks. Experiment with cherry peppers, banana peppers and shishito peppers as well as olives and mushrooms.

Take Cosmos’ lead and try fillings beyond cream cheese. Stir in chopped vegetables, savory elements such as sausage, and good melting cheeses such as Oaxaca, provolone, Taleggio or mozzarella.
