Burger King Launches Soccer Program Targeting Hispanics
Burger King Corp. is kicking off a series of soccer events this weekend targeting Hispanics to build its brand and give customers another reason to visit its restaurants. "Futbol Kingdom," the first Burger King event of its kind, will visit eight markets nationwide through September, offering a series of soccer activities designed to reach second-and third-generation Hispanics. Confirming what many residents already suspect, a new report says national retailers are colonizing New York City bit-by-bit. The survey, titled "Attack of the Chains," found a whopping 5,716 chain outlets in the city, led by Dunkin' Donuts with 341 outlets, followed by Subway, McDonald's and Starbucks. Lane Cardwell: No Wind in the Sales
"Sailboats need wind to fill their sails so that they can move across the water. Restaurants need customers to fill their seats so that their sales can move them toward profitability," writes Chain Leader's Lane Cardwell.
