Recipe: Awesome Al’s Shrimp Pie

| Olive oil | 1 tsp. |
| Yellow onions, diced | 1/4 cup |
| Green onions, sliced | 2 |
| Mushrooms, sliced | 1/4 cup |
| Garlic, minced | 2 tsp. |
| White wine | 1/4 cup |
| Fresh oregano, minced | 1 tsp. |
| Salt | 1 tsp. |
| Medium, peeled Gulf shrimp | 12 oz. |
| Cream cheese, softened | 8 oz. |
| Butter, softened | 4 Tbsp. |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Tbsp. |
| Honey | 1 Tbsp. |
| Frozen chopped spinach, thawed | 12 oz. |
| 8-in. pizza crusts | 2 |
| Shredded provolone or mozzarel | 10 oz. |
| Cocktail sauce | for serving if desired |
| 1. Heat oil in nonstick skillet. Add onions, green onions, mushrooms and garlic; cook until they begin to soften. Add wine, oregano and salt. Cook until vegetables begin to soften. Add shrimp; cook until it is cooked in center. Set aside to cool. 2. In mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, Worcestershire sauce, honey and spinach; mix until smooth. Stir in cooled shrimp mixture. 3. Divide mixture between pizza crusts. Sprinkle each pie with cheese. Place on baking stones or sheets. Bake in 375F oven until browned and bubbly. Serve with cocktail sauce if desired. |
